Lalit Mahal Palace is a beautiful Palace in Mysuru (earlier known as Mysore). Its walls are painted in White Colour as are most of the buildings in Mysore. It is a grand Palace house on a huge property. Many Bollywood films have been shot here over the years. It has been converted into a 5-star Hotel many years ago. However, it still allows people to just visit the Palace.
On 24-Feb-2019, from Chamundi Hills, we proceeded to Lalit Mahal Palace to have lunch. It must have been about 3:15 PM when we reached Lalit Mahal Palace.
At the gate of the Lalit Mahal Palace, we had to buy entry tickets for Rs. 100 each. We did not have to pay for the Driver’s entry.
The Guards advised us that we could refund the value of the Entry Tickets when we settle our bill at the Hotel.
At the Entrance of the Lalit Mahal Palace Building, we were greeted by Guards in Traditional Maharaja Times Dress with a huge Moustache.
As we started getting into the Building, the Guard told us that we could click photographs with our Mobile Phones; however, we could not use our Cameras.
As we were all very hungry, we headed straight for the Restaurant. The Restaurant is a huge hall with very high roof.
We told the Waiters that we would join the Buffet. Now, we had to hurry as the Buffet was scheduled to close at 4:00 PM and it was already about 3:30 PM by the time we had freshened up.
We found a decent selection in the buffer. However, it was not anything very great.
When I settled the Hotel Bill, they reduced the amount of the bill by Rs. 400 that we had paid to enter Lalit Mahal Palace.
After Lunch, we loitered around the Hotel. We took photographs only using our Mobile Phones.
