Kufri

Kufri is about 7 KM from Simla. However, it takes nearly 1 hour to reach Kufri from Simla because the roads are narrow and we faced very heavy traffic. We visited Kufri on the way to Narkanda. We started from our hotel Radisson Jazz, Simla on 4-Dec-2018. We had booked a car from the hotel and they gave us one Innova. So, it was very comfortable for the 3 of us – Deepshree, Ranoo and I besides the driver.

Just as we reached Kufri, we found shops where they sold caps, shawls, etc and also had some Yaks with them. We got down at one such shop to take photographs with the Yak. The Yak owners asked Deepshree and Ranoo to climb on to the Yak to take photograph. However, they were very afraid as one of the Yaks was snorting in irritation. So, they stood beside the Yak to take photographs.

All along the way, there are lots of forest with tall Pine Trees. The scene looks wonderful.

Kufri has a lot of activity centers like Horse Riding, Rock Climbing, etc. We could not afford to go to all of them. So, we chose an activity center which had a lots of activities in it.

Walking around the Activity Center is itself a very good exercise as one has to climb down and up the steep hill a number of times. Though there were well made steps all around, it was tough for us as we do not climb up and down regularly.

We bought 2 tickets paying Rs. 1000 each for having rights to go for each ride once. We bought an entrance ticket for Deepshree paying Rs. 200. We started by me doing one adventure. However, it was not very thrilling and so we just had some Coffee at the Restaurant and came out of the Activity Center.

Am basically a programmer. Have proved to myself and quite a few people over the 24+ years that I am capable of programming on most platforms using quite a few tools for most problems. However, to be viable for earning a living, have learnt a few tricks and techniques of management. Whatever management techniques I have learnt, I try and convert to simple logic flows to keep my decision process simple and transparent. While managing, have been successful in programming a few individuals and teams to meet required objectives. Though I am not creative, I have enormous potential to innovate and extend creative ideas generated and shared by others.
