We stayed in Hotel Hilton, Sukhumvit Soi 24 during our 2 visits of Bangkok in June and July, 2018. On both occasions, we were allotted room in the 22nd floor. This is because I requested for a smoking room. I like the hotel and plan to stay here during my subsequent visits to Bangkok.

FIFA World Cup, 2018

I visited the hotel the first time during the World Cup, Russia, 2018. The Hotel had elaborate arrangements for the same.

The Hotel had 2 channels where they telecast the World Cup. On the night of the match between Brazil and Switzerland, the channel telecasting the match was not available in my room. So, I complained. They tried to fix it. However, the failed. So, the hotel requested me to come of the Ground Floor and watch the match in the Giant Screen. They also gave me a compensation with free drinks worth 1000 Bahts.

Another Compensation

During our second visit, there was delay of about 40 minutes in getting our luggage to our room. So, they compensated this delay with offering us Beer worth 1000 Bahts.

Food at the Executive Dining Hall

As per our plan, we had free breakfast in the Executive Dining Hall on the 4th Floor. Also, there was free snacks between 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same place. Then there was free Evening Tea between 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Executive Dining Hall on the 4th Floor.

When we were in the hotel at these times, we used to eat lots of Pizza, Sandwiches, Fruits, etc. during the Evening Tea. This used to be sufficient so that we did not have to have any dinner for that night.

During the afternoon snacks and evening tea, there is lots of drinks served which we did not have to pay for. We used to have lots of Beer, some Whisky and lots of Wine.

There is also place for Smoking at the Executive Dining Hall. Besides, there is a business center with computer and internet and printer which we did not need to pay for.

Phrom Phong Metro Station is about 30 meters from the Hotel. We used to travel by Metro for most of our travel within Bangkok. This is the fastest means of getting around as the Bangkok Traffic is killing.

Am basically a programmer. Have proved to myself and quite a few people over the 24+ years that I am capable of programming on most platforms using quite a few tools for most problems. However, to be viable for earning a living, have learnt a few tricks and techniques of management. Whatever management techniques I have learnt, I try and convert to simple logic flows to keep my decision process simple and transparent. While managing, have been successful in programming a few individuals and teams to meet required objectives. Though I am not creative, I have enormous potential to innovate and extend creative ideas generated and shared by others.
