We organised a picnic for our team in Thailand. We decided to go to a place called Phitsanulok. Now, Thailand has so many exotic places. However, no one of us had heard of this place. So, we were all very apprehensive.
We booked 2 Toyota Vans. Meghnad drove one of them and Sagar drove the other. We all, including our Thai colleagues, loaded ourselves in the vans along with our families. We started early in the morning at around 6 AM. We drove for about 8 hours before we reached Phitsanulok.
We first looked for our hotel. We were booked in the Rain Forest. This was a hotel in the forest with beautiful cottages and tree houses. The place was mesmerising. On reaching there, we were very hungry. So, we ordered Duck Meat. They served us fried Duck Meat. It was delicious. Then we went to our rooms and freshened up.

At around 4 PM, we all board the vans and went to the town. We visited the famous pagoda here. The pagoda in Phitsanulok is the biggest in Thailand.
The next day, we drove into the forest towards the hill. First, we could see the hill at a distance.
Then we came across a river.
Driving a little further, we came across a beautiful water fall. We spent a lot of time here.
Then, we drove further up to the hills. These hills were used as the hiding place by the Communist Rebels. The terrain here is very rough and this makes it very exciting.
We returned to the hotel in the evening. We rested for the night and started for Bangkok next morning after breakfast.
